Gary Nelson has been a resident of Northeast British Columbia for nearly 40 years and been regulating the oil and gas industry for the past decade.
Gary is a technical advisor with the BC Oil and Gas Commission and has inspected countless pipelines and facilities. This follows more than 30 years’ experience in all facets of the industry from working on rigs, driving trucks and as a commercial transport officer. His broad knowledge base and regulatory background has given him a sense of accountability and awareness of safety for his community.
Gary acts as an ambassador for the Commission, instilling responsibility and accountability in industry and future oil and gas industry workers through education and community engagement.
